Transportation

Transportation from / to airport will be arranged either in busses or smaller mini busses depending on the number of people arriving at the same time. We have an arrangement with taxi 40100; further details about your pickup will be announced later!

During the championship there will be no transportation from and to the hotels, as they are all within walking distance.  

Parking in Vienna

When coming to Vienna by car, please note, that we have a city-wide short-term parking zone Monday thru Friday from 09.00 – 22.00, maximum parking time 2 hours. Parking during the day costs 3,40 EUR per hour. You can either park your car in the garage of hotel Senator (in case you stay there) or in the garage of Plus Bowling (6.– EUR for 5 hours, 12,– EUR for 10 hours; you must stamp your parking ticket in the bowling center near the exit and pay the reduced price at the parking machine; price as of 28/09/2025).

On Saturday and Sunday parking is in principle free of charge in the streets all day long.  But in some shopping streets there are additional short-term parking zones, where you have to pay also on Saturday from 08.00 – 12.00 (Hernalser Hauptstrasse, Joergerstrasse). Please bear in mind, that cars with a non-Austrian licence plate without having paid are being clamped! And it is not that easy to pay the fine and get declamped.

A good alternative, if you do not need the car during the week: Park & Ride Spittelau (address: Spittelauer Lände 12, 1090 Wien,

max. height: 2.10m), costs 4,40 EUR per day, open 24 / 7, and only 4 stations with U6 from the bowling center. Alternative: Unizentrum Althanstraße Parkhaus, Augasse 2 – 6, 1090 Wien, costs: 6,90 EUR per day, open 24 / 7. Same way to the bowling center. The prices are as of 28/09/2025 and will most probably be raised by 01/01/2026.
